Not seeing a nearby parking report?
Reports depend on people sharing nearby. An empty map does not mean there are no legal spaces on the street, and a pin does not guarantee one will still be open when you arrive. Check your connection and location access, then use your own judgment at the curb.
When it is safe, sharing a genuine departure can help the next driver. You do not need to wait, hold a space or block traffic. Read our NYC parking handoff guide for a practical checklist.
iPhone permissions
Location and finding your saved car
If the app cannot show your current position, check that Location Services are enabled on your iPhone and that ParkSwap has location permission. Review Precise Location when accurate directions are needed. A weak GPS signal or network connection can affect your position.
Check the saved location before relying on directions back to your car. A map position is not proof that parking is permitted, and GPS cannot reliably measure hydrant clearance at the curb. Never adjust settings or use your phone while driving.

Account help and app updates
If you cannot sign in, first confirm that you are using the same sign-in method and email address as before. Do not create another account to recover an existing one. Contact us if the problem continues, without sending your password or a verification code.
Get the currently released iPhone app from the official ParkSwap App Store listing. Screens marked “next update preview” on our website are not yet part of the public release. TestFlight access and public App Store availability are separate.
For street-cleaning schedules, our NYC parking guide and 2026 ASP calendar are available on this website. The calendar shows published suspensions, not live weather or emergency notices.

Tell us what happened
Email contact@parkswap.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, ParkSwap version and the steps that led to the issue. If you include a screenshot, remove names, exact locations, payment details and other private information first.
Never send passwords, verification codes or full card numbers. For a payment question, use a receipt reference rather than card details. We do not need sensitive information to understand an app problem.
