Before you leave the car

Cleaning isn't the whole story.

01

Read the whole block

Follow the entire posted cleaning window—even after the sweeper passes. Look for temporary signs as well.

02

Check meters separately

An ASP holiday doesn't usually suspend meters. NYC311 lists special major-holiday and Sunday rules.

03

Keep hydrants clear

The general NYC rule is 15 feet from a hydrant. Check official exceptions; phone GPS is not a reliable curbside measuring tool.

No holding a public space

Community reports do not reserve a spot or override parking restrictions. Don't obstruct traffic or double-park to coordinate a handoff.
